Our daughter thrived at Montgomery pre-k through 8th grade. Small classes allowed teachers to really get to know our child. Loved the focus on character development, public speaking and independent thinking. Our child was very shy and they helped her develop her confidence and leadership skills. Exceptional academics prepared her well for high school! Amazing campus and community!

My child has been going to this school since second grade. We left the Manchester school district. The school is extremely proactive. They provide not only support to the child but also to the family. Any concerns I’ve had have been adjusted immediately. My child likes to go to school. And also is part of the special education team. They listen to my child’s needs as well as my own concerns. This is an amazing school with a great foundation that is embracing, nurturing and allows a child to grow at their own pace

In our experience the Juniper school has accommodates us in all areas. Especially the ones that require more work. Our kids have made great progress with the help of all staff and resources. Our kids love the Juniper school.

My child has been there for 7 years since K to grade 7 and since the new principal took over it’s gone down hill. It’s not her it’s her whole support staff and certain teachers. They don’t listen to feed back at all.

This school was an amazing. Don’t let the old one star reviews full you. The principal and staff are great and the parent involvement is very high. It is a great place place to go to school. We sent both our kids there and are very pleased with their education

It is with great pleasure that I compose this review to extol the virtues of this middle school. Nestled within its hallowed halls is a bastion of academic excellence, where young minds are nurtured and cultivated with utmost care and dedications. Under the astute guidance of its distinguished faculty students are imbued with a profound sense of curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, fostering a love for learning that transcends the confines of the classroom. Moreover, the schools commitment to holistic development ensures that pupils not only excel academically but also cultivate essential life skills and values, thus preparing them to navigate the complexities of the world with grace and integrity. In every facet of its operation, this school epitomizes excellence, serving as a beacon of inspiration and hope for generations to come.

This 5th grade class has been bullied by the outgoing principal who tells them that they are a disappointment almost weekly. The teachers seem to have given up and can’t wait until the 5th graders graduate. It all seems to come from the outgoing principal who should have retired last year. Our children are stressed and so are the teachers. Parents are afraid to get involved with a PTA that is a mean girls club. I hope the new principal will do a better job bringing the school together.

I have a child with ASD and the principal didn’t even talk during our meeting and the “team” of specialists some seemed to want to help and others not so much with one of them no-showing. Our requests for what our son needs were dismissed and said that they “weren’t offering that again next year”. We were told take it or leave it. We left and have been doing homeschool. No one ever checked back in with us. What a shame to live in such a great community with a school that can’t help my child. Heartbreaking really.

My child has happily been at Lee for a few years now, and we are very pleased with the school, its students, teachers and administrators. Lee provides gifted learning in a calm and safe environment. The education is individualized and empowers gifted students to explore their academic interests beyond the often rote pedagogy found in many non-gifted programs, which may otherwise bore them. The school’s administrators are overall excellent. They are compassionate, understanding and smart, and have dedicated their careers to educating gifted students specifically. Its leaders have consistent, decades experience in guiding and teaching students with giftedness. We have found that the teachers at Lee are also excellent; they diligently manage and tailor the education plans on an optimally individualized basis. All our child’s teachers are wonderful and possess the patience, intellectual curiosity and professional skill to teach gifted students (and these are completely consistent qualities of all school faculty we have interacted with in our experience), and we have found that the school always prioritizes the students’ education and well-being above all else. Giftedness is, by definition, rare. A private school tailored exclusively for gifted education, Lee Academy is rarer still. Based on our experience, we suggest parents of kids identified as gifted should certainly consider Lee.

A previous reviewer said this school is for the "privileged" and I must agree. The privileged being those who have either been at the school forever (esp the children of staff), or whose parents are big donors are given more leniency and flexibility. I suppose this is the same across the board at every private school. But most other schools in the area aren't charging $30k/yr, and tuition continues to rise. On top of that, we're paying to be gaslit and patronized, overcharged for school-sponsored trips, teachers to our kids (because half the teachers don't do their jobs), and basically told to mind our own business when it comes to our children's education. Save your money. Do online school.
